THE WORK BANK, INC.
DECEMBER 17, 2004

Understanding that any society is only as strong as its weakest link, and mindful of our responsibilities to those among us who struggle with the most basic of needs in order to survive, we pledge our efforts and our resources to help those in need attain a better quality of life for themselves and for their families.

The efforts of The Work Bank in building social capital begins with job training and career development, but it doesn’t end there. We will continue to work with our participants throughout their journey to a better life.  We will support them with the resources they need to succeed.  We will nurture their desire to improve themselves and help them in turn, to nurture others in our community.

We will provide job training and career development for those who don’t have resources to obtain these services in a mainstream educational facility.  To this end, we will develop programs that provide services to the community at large while providing training programs to those wishing to participate.

It is our intention that with adequate job training and career development, participants will be able to afford better housing, become more self-reliant and community oriented, and take responsibility for their own well being.
